Drumetie Retezat: Vf. Peleaga, Vf. Papusa

Guided hiking trip in Romania’s Retezat Mountains, summiting Peleaga and Papusa peaks in one demanding day. The route explores Poiana Pelegii, Bucura Peak, Peleaga Peak and Papusa Peak, covering about 12–16 km with around 1,200–1,300 m of elevation gain. Difficulty is rated medium‑to‑difficult and requires good physical condition and solid mountain experience. Participants must bring their own equipment (hiking boots, backpack, warm and waterproof clothing, headlamp, sun protection, food and at least 2L of water). Transport is individual and the exact meeting point is agreed in a WhatsApp group before the trip. Group size is limited (20 places, of which some are already taken) and participation is free.
